Local Walk - Mt Warogong Sugarloaf
The walk up Mt Warogong Sugarloaf from the Snowy Mountains Hwy is one of the best in the local area. The walk gives extensive views of Blowering Dam and the Tumut Valley. The Track is marked and is mostly upon fire trails with only the last 600m section as a foot track to the top. The total distance is 10km, fast walkers can expect to cover the distance in a little over 3hrs, those taking a more leisurely approach will cover the walk in 4-5hrs depending upon the length of breaks.
Muscle Car Rally 2011
On Tuesday we were pleased to have the Muscle Car Rally http://www.musclecarrally.com.au/ stay with us on their way north to Sydney. We were the overnight race HQ and provided the group with a hot buffet breakfast to get their day off to a great start. The rally looks like great fun for any motor-sport enthusiast and all participants seemed to be having a great time. We are excited that they will be returning again next year.
Hot Rod Show a Successful Weekend
The Biannual Tumut Rod and Custom show went off last weekend with out a hitch. The weather for the weekend was perfect with clear blue sky's and cool nights. We look forward to the next show in two years time. Some of our guest from this year have already rebooked for 2013 so get in early to secure your room.
Snow, Mt Selwyn and Kiandra Area
Mt Selwyn is the closest ski resort to us. Locate about an hours drive away it is an easy day out from Tumut. If you want a great family day out then Mt Selwyn is hard to beat. This year the snow cover at lower levels has been very good and there has been some great days for cross country skiing in the Kiandra area.
The Photo bellow was taken at the top of Mt Tantangra, a great cross country skiing area that can be accessed from Kiandra.
Tumut Hot Rod Show
The Tumut Hot Rod Show is on again.
Friday the 26th of August to Sunday 28th August 2011.
Entries close 1st of August.

New Tv's in all our rooms
We've been busy installing new Tv's in all our rooms. All of our rooms now feature 32inch Digital LCD Tv's. The picture quality is great and the remotes are easy to use and understand. All Tv's have been identically programmed and large on screen text informs you of your selected channel, a great help in finding your favourite channel.
